about

This is a very short instrumental that came out of me one night as I was headed for bed around 3:30 in the morning. I remember it well because I was telling myself that the hours I've been keeping are crazy and I have to start getting to bed earlier.

But as I was about to jump into bed, a thought came over me about something I can't remember now. But I do remember having the urge to sit down at my piano and worship. I did and this immediately came out of me. At first, I thought it should just be an idea for a much longer song. But when I listened to it, I felt I just wanted to take out an amp and the Telecaster and play what came to mind. The guitar part was done in one take.

I had been getting some amazing sounds from the Tele that week and some amazing things have been flowing out of me on this album. I thank God I was given the ability to play from a young age. The song seemed to bring out some thankfulness in me, so I called it forgiveness and kept it short because that's the way forgiveness is with God.

For God, who is love, forgiveness is a very quick thing. 1 Corinthians 13 says that Love keeps no record of wrongs, but that isn't true with most people. It can often take long periods of time, even years for some. That's why I wanted this to be the first track. The song at the end of this just came to me and seemed natural. It fades out and ends at the part where the lyrics say, "God and sinner reconciled", which is very scriptural, but most don't realize it.

God and sinner reconciled? Really? Yes...

2 Corinthians 5:19
...that God was reconciling THE WORLD to Himself in Christ, NOT counting men's sins against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation.

The problem with most people is they've learned to be religious and think the last part of that verse means to preach "turn or burn" to people. Problem is they don't know it really just means what it says. In other words, God HAS reconciled THE WORLD to Himself and He does NOT count men's sins against them. So just believe it!

Problem with God's Grace, which means unmerited favor, is most pastors and priests don't trust you with it, so they mingle Grace with Law. That is why there are so many atheists today. Too many rules and regulations. When Jesus said, "Forgive them Father, they know not what they do", and "It is finished", He actually meant it.
